From vulcanisation to industrial company
The company was founded in 1915 by Holger Thomsen. Today the company is managed by Peter and Christian Thomsen, who are the 4th generation after Holger Thomsen. They are both sons of Niels-Holger Thomsen, who was in charge of the company from 1975 until his death in 2007.
Marinus Thomsen, son of the founder Holger Thomsen, is still visiting the company daily. In this way Marius Thomsen has been a part of the daily operation of the company since 1940.
Dansk Gummi Industri started as a trade company mending bicycle tyres and developed into a vulcanisation company for car tyres. Today the focus is on development and production of rubber items for a number of industries. Dansk Gummi Industri is an efficient and modern industrial company, which is sub-supplier of rubber items to a large number of industries.
Until 2005 the company name was Sydjysk Vulkanisering.
